Badlands National Park

I remember my days being in Germany and Facetiming with my boyfriend and his non-stop talk about his trip to the South Dakota, the Badlands and yada yada yada. At the time I didn't know what he meant since the only picture I had in my head was the scene from Jurassic Park when the paleontologists are excavating a dinosaur skeleton and a helicopter arrives and almost destroys their whole day's work. So when my boyfriend insisted we should go I had that scene in my head and I didn't want any sand/dirt on my face, I've had enough of that where I grew up. And I figured I wouldn't be able to find dinosaur skeletons, leave that to the experts. So, because I'm never gonna say 'no' to a road trip, we packed our stuff and hit the road. For this occasion I was in for treat, my boyfriend planned everything head to toe and I let myself flow.

We departed from Minneapolis and drove for about 8 hours and when we arrived my eyes couldn't believe the amount of beauty and cotton-candy color pinnacles. We had arrived to the Badlands.

We camped at the Badlands National Park campgrounds, and the installations are great! My favorite part was the veil of stars among us at night, like I've never seen it before. ✨🌌✨

Driving around the scenic BNP is a breathtaking experience, for the first time I saw prairie dogs and they were the cutest creatures ever!

It's pretty shocking to me that I didn't know about this place, and that most people I talk to about traveling have no idea, and that's why I'd like to invite you to visit. It's perfect if you love nature and are into hiking or finding fossils; you want to get away on a low budget; or if you simply love to photograph beautiful places.
