While driving on Highway 50 from Lakeville to Red Wing during a Sunday, between acres and acres of cornfield my fiancee and I saw a jaw-dropping structure that made us feel as if we had tele-transported ourselves to Asia. I had heard about this amazing place, but hadn't found time to go admire it, and finally without planning it there it was! Watt Munisotaram is a Cambodian Buddhist temple near Hampton, MN and it's one of the biggest of its kind in America. It seems as if we had left the country and were in Cambodia. The place is beautiful, quiet and peaceful.
When we got to the site there was a gentleman that seemed to be taking care of the place we shyly asked if we could see around and with great charm he answered we absolutely could, so I'd love to invite you to stop over and discover this beautiful jewel "in the middle of nowhere".
