Phoenix, AZ: Murals, ice cream & drinks

I would've never imagined the super cool stuff Phoenix has to offer.

We hit Roosevelt Row Arts District, also known as RoRo, and it's located in downtown Phoenix where galleries, creative spaces and cultural events can be found. It was nice to stroll around and admire the many murals along the avenue.

Eli, as usual, was my adventure accomplice and I just love this picture of him:

Walking around we found a little treasure: MELT Ice Cream shop. They had weird flavors such as Unicorn Blood, different cereals, and popular Mexican candy, hello Gansito flavor. They served us our treat in a Chinese take out box.

As we were enjoying our treat in the patio area, a group of college students arrived and they began singing acapella. Pretty much a dreamy new Americana evening.

Later we hit Windsor for a couple of drinks. It's a pretty cool neighborhood bar on Central Ave. and next to it there are a couple of restaurants and a very popular ice cream shop, Churn. I guess you need a lot of ice cream to treat yo self in the hot desert. 🍦🌵

One of the most striking things we saw was this billboard outside of Thirdspace, depicting Trump. This piece was created by artist Karen Fiorito and it's called Trumpocalypse. To me it expresses absolutely everything there is to say about him.

Unpredictable and cool, that's what Phoenix was to me. Next, I'll tell you more about our adventures at the Phoenix Art Museum and at the amazing Heard Museum. More soon!
