My husband and I have been getting asked about our favorite experience in Mexico City and it might sound strange but it was actually Lucha Libre. The experience was absolutely awesome! It’s part fight part performance, the audience is a huge part of the show (so funny to hear abuelitas yell really intense swear words) and the energy is out of control.

When we went the teams were Mexico vs USA, the American team had a USA flag with Trump’s face on it and yelled over and over “we’re gonna build the wall haha”. You can imagine the crowd just heated and the fight was intense and FUN!

We went to the Lucha Libre through the Airbnb Experiences “Lucha Libre & Masks!”. We got to know the history of it [Viva El Santo!] and make our own luchador mask before we went to the arena. ✨🇲🇽✨

We had a group with people from the UK, US and Germany but most importantly our host Rick was from Chihuahua 🙌 ¡awebo! The strangest thing is that I bumped into someone from Chihuahua at the arena... watch out, we're everywhere!
